Here at Fishstrong, we have recently been in contact with the family of Brittany Maynard. Her courageous decision to die with dignity has spread across the world and new legislation is now being considered by many states to follow in the "Death with Dignity Act". Though some may not agree with the decision (as they have the right to do so), we feel that it is incredibly important to respect the decision to die with dignity and not succumb to the inevitable tortuous way to die when given a diagnoses as severe as that of Brittany Maynard. Her story ignites a fire within each of us to live each day to the fullest, to not be afraid of every day challenges that are ahead, and to always do what you love. Brittany passed away on November 1, 2014 and her family continues to stay in our thoughts and prayers.
